What’s your favorite radio station? Seriously, take a moment and decide. I’m talking about the old-fashioned radio, not Pandora or any other internet-radio station ☺.
Imagine getting into the car. You reach for its programmed number on the dashboard, expecting to hear your favorite song. Instead, you hear fuzz and static. Oh no! You move down the street hoping that you can again hear your favorite DJ, but the station continues going in and out. After the next light, it begins playing an entirely different genre of music. Frustrated, you change to something else.
This week’s Tuition Tuesday tip is simple. When the scholarship committee reads your essay, they expect you to come across clearly. When your story cannot be heard or your “frequency” is not strong, they will not award you the scholarship. Instead, they will change the station. Make sure that you’re not allowing fuzz and static to interfere with your message.
