Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been sharing video “chapters” from a community breakfast we hosted back in February. That day, we were joined by Jeff Edmondson, managing director of the Strive Network, which supports and connects communities across the country that are building cradle-to-career partnerships similar to Commit!
In this video chapter, Jeff shares valuable lessons learned from his work in the Cincinnati region (where they’ve had remarkable success improving student outcomes) and from across the nation. In particular, he points to the fundamental need to use data differently in education: rather than using it to beat people up, we must embrace data as a constructive tool that can help us continually improve how we serve children. Check it out:
Stay tuned for our next video installment, when we’ll hear from a few of the school districts and funders who have joined the Commit! Partnership.
